Bathroom!

 The existing bathroom looks cute in a picture but this is not the existing bath and has plastic tiles, fiberboard vanity and wallpaper that was very difficult to remove.  The shower insert was wider than the doorway creating a very cramped space.
















We started the renovation by knocking out a closet in our front room to add a 3' x 8' section.  The new shower will go where the closet was and the new vanity will go in the spot of the old shower.

We picked out a beautiful natural slate for the floor - building from the ground up!  To make it more bright we will replace the existing window with a larger one and add one more!

Our New House!

 

We have officially purchased a little little bungalow at 411 East Oak Street!!!(Lamar, Colorado 81052)   The furniture was delivered last night and we plan to load everything into the garage until we have time to gut the kitchen and downstairs bath and create a second bath upstairs.  

 It was built in 1914 right in the middle of the Arts&Crafts movement. It has many original features still built in - pictures to come! I think the massive bushes out front need to go - what do you think?  How about some prairie grasses!  We just noticed they put the ones backwards on our address - funny!
